This January/February, Master Pancake whips out their giant Sharpie and scribbles all over THE NOTEBOOK (2004), the romantic movie sensation of the decade that has left more boyfriends with moist shoulders than a gigantic army of shoulders caught in a rainstorm. James Garner plays Noah, who narrates the story-within-the-story to his lady friend Allie, who has Alzheimer's (for the memory-impaired, the writer has offered a mnemonic device you'll never forget: Allie has Alzheimer's). Ryan Gosling plays the young hero of the story, who takes one gander at Rachel McAdams and his goose is cooked. By the end of the movie there won't be a dry shoulder in the house. Come on out, two by two, and see how Noah navigates this flood of tears as Master Pancake dives into the most sentimental movie ever made! (John)
