MST3K Comic-Con Reunion (6 of 6)

Friday, July 25th the entire cast of the show Mystery Science Theater 3000 met up to have a Q&A, with Patton Oswalt moderating. Everyone was at this historic event! Joel Hodgson, Jim Mallon, Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy, Bill Corbett, Trace Beaulieu, J. Elvis Weinstein, Frank Conniff, Paul Chaplin, and Bridget Jones were all there for an hour of hilarity!

I apologize for the quality, but between me being excited and my arm getting tired (from having to hold it over people's heads) it's a bit shaky!

Were you allowed to bring a camera there to record this? Thanks for posting just wondering.

The general rule is that you're allowed to film anything except things that are shown on the video screen. So anytime they showed a clip I'd turn the camera off.

Shout!Factory was also there filming the panel because they put it on their MST3K 20th Anniversary Set.

I'm surprised he didn't ask them about reviving the show and how interested they would be in doing it again.

It would have been awkward if he had brought it up, and that question (among others) was probably the reason the fans weren't allowed to ask questions. Joel had already asked Jim Mallon about doing a reunion episode, but Jim didn't want to (likely a rights thing). That's why Joel started Cinematic Titanic.

Hopefully this panel will be better when it's a special feature on the 20th anniversary DVD of MST3K coming out in October
