@Hamshenkami you must know this russian saying: "scratch a russian and you find a tartar"
same goes for turks... you may find anyone if you scratch a turk. in my case it would probably be a greek, a georgian etc. i may only feel happy if i learn i have anything similar with these great people. but this wont make me less turk. actually i dont know when people will learn that racial mixing is something mutual and we are all one stupid race from balkans to caucasus.

@Hamshenkami maybe armenians were lucky enough that they didnt have such problems in russia but some did have. e.g. turkey has been homeland for millions of circassians expelled and oppressed by russians. and for thousands of bosnian, albanian muslims running away from wars. turkey has always kept its borders open to anyone with all its generosity. so there's no pure turkish in turkey. but which nation is complete innocent or pure? i believe turks are not more or less criminal than other nations

@Hamshenkami wow what a great physiatrist you are. thanks for your free online psychological diagnosis service. i hope its treatable. anyway, i dont know from where you got the idea that i was abused. i was neither abused nor oppressed in turkey. so were my parents and grandparents. i dont remember what happened to the previous generations of course. i wish they werent too. what i feel about my identity and country is more related to the feeling of belonging rather than a kind of syndrome.

it doesnt matter if we are ethnic turks or turkified like millions of others living in turkey.turkey is a melting pot which has several ethnic groups in it.the only thing that matters is we feel ourselves turks.i am a muslim girl from trabzon and i remember my grandparents used to speak greek when there was something that they wanted us not to hear. this is why i have always sympathy for greece.but i dont even think twice to die for turkey lets say in case of a war against any other country.

I am Hamshentsi, born in Georgia, we moved to Armenia in 1982 and than to USA in 1994. Unfortunatley I lost my Hamshen dialect in Armenia but my Mom speaks very clearly and I understand most of what I hear.
I never knew we had our people in Turkey
What a tragic histroy we have.
We are all related by blood Hamshen & Armenians, we are all Hay irrespective of religion.
Peace to all.

I am Hamshentsi, do you consider me 100% Turk?
My family was originally from a village from Hopa, we still have many distant relatives all Muslim. I was there just about 2 years ago, not one them denied that they were from Armenian origion.
When I speak to 89 year old woman in our old language we both know the ruth.
If you are really Hemsin than I will call you brother (yegpar) if you are Turksih I will still call you brother as we are all the same in name of humanity.
Peace
