This company is so sad. They have a union but you hire in at minimum wage, after subtracting union does your actually making less than minimum. They were the first store to open 364 days, because you know, Fred Meier isn't content with just being worth 5,000,000,000 (That's billion with a B) and those damn pesky employs don't need to spend holidays with families! The Meijer XMAS bonus was a coupon for one doughnut and a SMALL! soda LOL (I swear it's true) The employees get no discout on anything

I moved to Florida last July, and one of the things I miss most about Michigan is Meijer. Especially the one in Saginaw. So many childhood memories shopping there.

I heard it because I get 7.22 a week in union dues. My Meijer is part of a union.

@bentfishy actually no meijer store is unionized as far as i know because ive been with the company for almost 5 years and never once have i come across anyone saying we were union. Idk where u heard that but its false.

Most Meijer are unionized. The only one I know of in Michigan that is not part of a union is the one up in Traverse City. I've worked at the Meijer in Grandville for 5 years, and I have had to pay $8 a week for union dues. Sucks major arse.
