  • @NMtB4ev4 Are you kidding me? He was very aggressive back then, more so than he is now currently in 2010. He used to implement serve and volley regularly and he sliced too much? His slice is amongst the greatest ever and is a much better shot than his regular rally backhand.

  • The point at 6 minutes was one of the best points ever, it is a shame it ended as it did

  • Federer looked a lot lighter and faster in the younger years..

  • Mirka looked great back then. Not that she looks bad now ^^.

  • Could have been a Federer vs Rios final if Rios didn't retire against Agassi because of injury. Now there would have been some sick points in that final.

  • @fabiogaucho77 haha. His return post 2007 has been chopping it back 90% of the time, so I'm not seeing where you're getting that from.

Typical morons who didn't watch tennis back then.

  • @KRodfadesaway427

Definitely true, but I would say average power has clearly increased as well. Racquet technology makes such a huge difference, even in a matter of years.

  • @timafi the game has changed once again now its all about variety, angles and msot of all spin

  • Federer was less agressive in those days. And he sliced too much...

  • His return improved since then... it is less of a baloon now. Looks like he would be more vulnerable against serve and volley. The groundstrokes are more straightforward now, specially the forehand. But the greatest difference seems to be the mental aspect. He was too frustrated with unforced errors.
