@stupid420ish there are almost none toxic in captivity because they get their poison eating an specific kind of bug

Esses sapos sao lindos, como faz pra ter um desse?

lol!!!! these are not poisonous in captivity. and batrachotoxin can only effect you if it goes into your blood stream. Anybody knows that you will get any sort of bacterial illness from putting any reptile/ amphibian in your mouth I don't think you should rule that out.

I did the research and so did the guy in germany, thing was 3rd generation captive bred still have poisen. Unless the guy was faking being seriously poisened they feed their frogs the same way we do over here, pinheads and fruit flys. If you dont put the frogs in your mouth like the german guy one should be fine with contact from them.

well you know how the dart frog derives its poisons right well you probably don't but anyway they get their poison from the kind of acid found in the ants the frogs feed on in the jungle which makes them poisonous so if hes feeding them correctly then there shouldnt be a problem but the terribles is the worst species out there as far as the poison goes but they shouldnt have any do the research

A few years ago at a reptile show in germany a breeder tryed to prove they werent poisenous after being captive bred. So he put a 3rd generation captive bred froglet in his mouth and almost died.
You cant touch this particular frog with ur fingers the ones that can be touched are denobrobates...this one is not adviceable to play with..

In captivity they are not nearly as toxic. You are correct bubbaUK, I would still avoid touching them not only for your sake, but more importantly, for the health of the frogs.
