Some of the kicking drills we practice in class, most of the Ryukyu Kempo kicks are done traditionally with the toe tips although beginners generally practice with the ball of the foot, with shoes on the toes are far more effective. @Mary230195 , glad you enjoyed the videos, with the foot we don't tend to kick above where your fingertips rest on the outside of your thighs, it prevents the opponent from instinctively grabbing your leg in counter defence, an opponent will generally defend his groin more than his legs making the leg attacks more effective but when we do attack the groin it's usually with the shin, I'll try and post another clip from the Shinsei Kata that demonstrates this.
