Want a good workout? Take a bokken and fight your buddy who is skilled with a polearm. It is exhausting on both ends, but trying to get close and then havign to withdraw is SOO tiring.

sparring means each strike/block is in responce to the other in order to prevent and gain points, and generally you dont go for headshots with a bokken regardless of where you are...its just stupid...let alone with a naginata

It's traditionally practiced by women in Japan, want to know why? Because wives of samurai during the sengoku period would have to defend their homes while their husband was off at war. They would usually be used in the reception (inside) to fight off rapists, looters ec.

I dont need to upload video. There is plenty or good naginata video on youtube already. For example, see the "Related Videos" section right next to this one.

As for the english argument(lol), note that most of the world do no speak english as there first language. Also i found that this language argument is brought up when they are mad for noting with no real solid arguments.

in short; Dont get mad, there is noting worng with hollywood-style stuff. Not everyone has the patience for budo.
