The RIV site referred to is rivbike.com. And this is in the mid-sept "Peeking thru the knothole" section on the home page.

This video is a link to something on the RIV site, talking about how to fold a wire-bead tire without kinking the bead. If you tour and bring a wire-bead spare tire, it's good to know this. If you ever have to ship a tire, good to know this. Other than that, it's just...not that important. But it's easy to learn, takes no time at all, and may come in handy. That's the only point. Sorry to...not have made that clear.
