Video demonstrating one level of gameplay in the TI-99/4A version of Pac-Man.
I've let the game put its best foot forward by starting the game at a higher level (Level 7). At the lower levels the game moves very slowly. It's still pretty slow on level 7.
Actual computer play. Not emulated.
@cygil1 Besides, comparing a 1977 console to an early 80s home computer? Pure idiocy. I remember seeing the TI-99 in Kmart though and was duly impressed with its graphics. I ended up with a C64 a couple years later, which was my only computer until 1990.

I had a TI-99 and desperately wanted a Commodore-64, but I now realize from watching this I could have had it a lot worse -- I could have had a piece of shit like the Atari 2600. The TI software base was kinda staid and dull, but it was a pretty decent machine graphically, and I learned my first programming skills with TIs cool basic tutor.

All because of Atari's touting that Pac-Man could only be played on their systems...

Sound effects are so annoying, Ms. Pac-Man was better on the TI-99/4A!

@Notyu1459
Most of the versions of Pac Man for other systems were a helluva lot better than the rushed 2600 version.

If you press and hold the fire button, the game moves in slow motion. That really comes in handy when the ghosts get too close.

Those 2 things on the far left, near the bottom (not the the Pac-Mans), to the left of the bottom left power pellet, those things are a flaw in the game. I had the same thing on the screen in my Pac-Man. And it never goes away.
