thithes belong to the OT now we are under a new covenant, if we have to follow one law of the OT what happens with the others, even more there are some laws in the OT that God declared them as a Perpetual Commandments, how come we do not obey those laws? like celebrating all different feasts, how come we only follow the law of tithing? the Bible says that when a new covenant is given the old becomes obsolete, If we have to thithe then we need to place it in a storehouse why don't we do that?
@slashundone .....?si abraham ba ang binigyan ng utos? o si moses? at ang binigay ba ni abram kay melchizedek ay tithes? sa palagay ko yang sinasabi mo ang rason ng mga asong walang kabusugan..sorry but thats the truth
this is just a sorry excuse for not giving tithes, the commandment of tithes was to Levi yes that is true but before Levi was even born, Abraham gave tithes to Melchizedek, read the whole Bible for yourself that tithes was not removed; the Bible never stated that it was removed or changed, Hebrews 7:12 and 1 Corinthians 9:7 was even out of context when he explained it
If you take another look at the text, you'll see that Abraham gave a tenth of the PLUNDER that he got from Sodom, covered his own expenses, paid his friends for helping him, and gave the rest back, keeping nothing for himself.
It is also the ONLY time that Abraham gave a Tithe. Is that your example for us to follow? For us to Tithe from things that we got from someone else, give the rest back, and then to never Tithe again?
