Ford F150 4x4 off road almost bit the dust

Do you generally run in 4wd high? or stay in two and just use 4w low when you need it? Ive heard that high puts too much stress on the tranny. thanks.

Yes most of the trails I do is in 2wd and only engage in 4W low when climbing a steep hill or when I stuck. Yes, climbing a steep hill in 4WH will put too much stress on the tranny.

The reason I don't use 4WH during normal trailing riding is because of less components twisting and turning during switchback.

I'm not a fan of Ford vehicles usually, but I must say that is a sweet setup.

Thanks for your honest compliment. Stay tuned the new setup will now consist of:

Dynatrac 60 front axle conversion with 12" king coilover shocks, and 12" king Triple Bypass Shocks.

Dynatrac 80 rear axle swap Tri-link Rear Suspension Designed and fabricate with 6 Johnny joints, 1 1/4" Uniball with misalignment and cup, king 2" x 2.5 coil-overs w/springs and king 2.5 tripple bypass shocks.

Both axles will be 8 lug nuts so I also purchased 6 17" off road rims with true bead locks on 40s.

Yeah most people who see it at first sight think that way but if you think it looks like an F-250 wait till you see it aft the straight axles are installed.

I'm doing a dynatrac 60 front conversion and a dynatrac 80 rear swap. Stay tuned for new video to be uploaded in the middle of June 2011.
