i know this is an old vid- but you kids are impressive! i love that you went outside and "played" (wut i called it-not 2b offensive) and made a way to get some food!! Your not my kid, but i know you wud make it in the forest if u had to!! Good luck in the future and thank you for the vid- ive been educated on my how'to's =)

Nice idea, thanks for sharing. Using the same concept as a wire trap this stick trap could be better constructed. Not just the spacing and the time taken. You create a funnel that leads to the loop. The funnel itself should be part of the loop. Having the loop conecting to the widest part or partway up the funnel. So that the funnel extends into the loop. That way as they swim about in the loop they will hit the corners created by the loop meeting the funnel and never hitting the exit.

@hicohornet sadly it is not a spring. It is a stream that flows over a mile down a mountain that contains native brook trout.

Would it work to weave longer thin sticks between the bigger sticks creating a wall similar to how a basket would be made?
