This is an amazing little poem by one of my all-time heroes - George Carlin. It deals with the prejudice so many people, particularly guys, faced in the late 60's/early 70's when they decided to grow their hair long. I hope it inspires you all to grow, or keep your hair long!!
It comes from George's May 2, 1972 appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, one of the many he made. You can see the whole appearance, including interview, on meesterm0le's fantastic channel at;

It's funny to think that even forty years later, people still look at guys with long hair differently. People are always asking me what instrument I play. :-p
Tell me about it. I have red hair below my belt, and as thick as goku's when he goes super. Trust me, i get stereotyped to this day. And I live in ohio. I'm really an outcast.
well, this did not inspire me to grow my hair long, since i don't like long hair, since it drives me crazy having to deal with it, but it has inspired me to keep my beard long
