He's not really reading it in Jamaican Patois. He's mostly just reading what's already written in the book but doing it with a Jamaican accent. For example, if you were to really translate it into Jamaican, you wouldn't say "ear"-- you would say "iez". Or instead of "four fluffy feathers on a...", it would be "four fluffy feadah pan wan...."
