Stuart Clayton is a very good bassist and transcriber of Level 42 songs .He is very good,a Alembic would help through.

Stuart!!!! Me and him learnt bass together, he got me started, taught me fingerstyle and slap, and I taught him Tapping and he just ran with it. Way better than I ever got...Stuart is awesome. Great guy too.

@bowiemott Wow. You must know a lot of people intimately to make that comment. And if all people wanna do is slap, then slap they can. If it's what turns them on, who cares? That's why we have personal preferences. No one else has to like them including you and I.

Speaking in general - The majority of slappers, the ones in music stores, jam sessions, youtube, and myspace have no perceivable skill OTHER than slapping. They can't play walking lines, melodies, or 16th-note funk (Jaco, Rocco P., Jeff Berlin), or even hold a steady grove because they are always trying to slap and pop even when its uncalled for. Let's put it this way. Victor Wooten could stop slapping today and still have a very deep bag of musicality. But most slappers are one trick ponies.

I feckin hate how on every slap bass video there is always some stuck up his own arse dip shit, who hates the slap bass, Not mentioning any names, Cheseeproductions. >: ( It's not cool, because it brings people down, I can't fucking do that, so that means I can't even do Random Crap now? Er, it's not necessary. Just rate it low and fuck off, or just don't watch it.

Level 42 is a Jazz band. Mark King is probably the most known band member. Look up one of his Slap Bass solo's. You'll love them. :)
