Part 44: This is a multi-part blog where I do some track work and put scenery on the interchange section of my model railroad. In this part I do a bit of news first about what I'm thinking about doing next. I've been toying around with doing some live shows using ustream.tv. There's some logistics I need to work out first but in the meantime time if this is something you might be interested in checking out let me know vial YouTube e-mail or leave a comment on this video. When I'm done with my rambling (after about 4 minutes or so) I start mixing and filling the road forms with the water putty.

Music Notes:

The music on this video was recorded using Sonar Home Studio Ver 6.0. The drums and keyboards were played on an M-Audio Keystation 61 ES and/or sequenced in the MIDI Editor. The bass is an Essex Fretless Jazz with Dimarzio pickups.

  • Thanks for your concern. I seem to get a nagging cough that hangs on for a while about every 2-3 years. I haven't it for several months now.

  • Howdy Big E. I'm a bit concerned about that cough of yours? I've noticed it in many of your videos and I'm not trying to be negative here in any way... just a fellow railroad modeler who has some health issues and I pick up on those sorts of things is all. I apologize if I've offended you with the mention of it. Love the videos and I appreciate all of your hard work for us fellow railroad modelers.

  • @walkerbelle I ahd a nagging cough that hung hon from a round of bronchitis I had.

  • Hi. Why "water putty" and not Hydrocal, plaster, sculptamold, or something else for the road? Thanks.

  • @avlisk Plaster would be to soft. The water putty seemed to have the right consistency plus I had a bunch of it on hand.

  • Q+A would be great for the live feeds..allow us to talk to you about the techniques etc you use..have trains running by in the background. good to discuss trains with fellow train people. I know I learn a ton from your videos and have learned to slow down and pay attention to details more..have a tendency to try and get a project done or finished and forget to slow down. amazing stuff E!

  • I you follow me on twitter I usually announce when I'm going to stream live. You can then stop by in in the chat room and I can answer questions then.

  • @walkerbelle ya me too, post nasal drip in winter? not all vidfs like that.

  • Your Music is very good but doesn't really fit.

  • Talking about live feed thing, you could do Q&A. Im sure that would help lots of people, and you could record that and put on Youtube?
