F O C U S

A short experiment intended to be projected or at least maximized fullscreen.

The piece's aim is to go beyond tabletop objects to the world where abstracted bursts of color reign and hyperzoomed 1's and 0's writhe, seethe and swim. Unlike the linear frame flicker of film, these are the seemingly randomized, fuzzy, anomalous quirks of digital video--the very fine, tiny points that appear to move as the autofocus and zoom try to make sense out of something.

Notable sections for the impatient (most everybody probably, I understand) are from 2:30-4:30 and the mug abstractions from 6:30 on.

Parts go well with music, but pay attention to the title. Quiz is next week.
