This is more about mythology. He resembles lord Shiva and she Parvathy. In this movie he become a widower when his first wife died (Sathi the first wife of lord Shiva died and got rebirth as Parvathy and had to take a lot of ordeal to get him as husband). He becomes a sage after the death of his first wife and she proves before himself that she is the rebirth of his wife who died. (Which connotes Shiva Purana).
