We used vinegar, baking soda, a jar, and a rubber glove for this experiment. My kids always try out the experiments we use at Corey's Child Care before we introduce them to the preschool group, and this was our experiment tonight.

  • @tabitha641 Well, do you need to know the right words at this age? I think the experience of making experiments are more valuable at this age than learning the right words or what's really happening. It's important to lay a foundation to build from.

  • Its great to see parents spending time with their children, but I'm not sure this is an age appropriate experiment. Are the girls old enough to understand chemical change, use that vocabulary, and recognize it in their everyday life?

  • i'm studying to become an ECCE Teacher and i have to make these kits,this weeks kit is Science and i was wondering,how much baking soda did you use,i dont want when i'm doing it for it to explode all over my lecturer when i'm demonstrating
