Part 6 of the Rudaru round table discussion broadcast live by IRINN on Friday 8 May about Iran-Us relations and whether the new US president had genuinely made changes in US policy.
Why should it be so important for us when someone in America says "maybe we can talk to Iran"? We all know that person has a very limitted say on US policies, specially vis-a-vis Iran. Besides, continued US military build up in the region is very much at odds with what Mr. Obama says. We should send them a nice diplomatic note saying " ... we are encouraged and we welcome ... ". Beyond that, let's leave it to the North America desk in Ministry of Foreign Affairs to handle it.
