On November 17, 2011, TechAmerica, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and Bloomberg Government held a dialogue about the future of the American economy.

David Walker, former-Comptroller General of the United States and head of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) from 1998-2008, and other thought leaders spoke at Bloomberg Government.

Walker, now President & CEO of the Comeback America Initiative (CAI) provided his unique perspective on what is needed to bring our country back to fiscal responsibility and sustainability.

Douglas Schindewolf, director of tactical asset allocation for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, additionally spoke. Schindewolf joined Smith Barney's Consulting Group as a member of its Asset Allocation Committee in April 2000 and served as committee chairman from September 2000 through December 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Schindewolf held the position of financial economist in the firm's research department since 1986. Before joining Citi, he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as an associate economist.

Greg Giroux of Bloomberg Government additionally participated in the panel and Kevin Richards, Senior Vice President, Federal Government Affairs, TechAmerica, served as moderator.
