Lew Dite with his Weapon of Mass Seduction
A song Dickie Bishop taught me to love
Dickie Bishop played guitar and sang with the Lonnie Donegan Skiffle Group as well as The Chris Barber Skiffle Group

Apparently based on a true story, "Stack-o-lee" ("Stagger Lee," "Stack Lee," "Stacker Lee," "Stagolee") shot Billy Lyons in a Memphis saloon some time before the turn of the century (1900).

  • Hello

    Lew...

This is a mighty fine campfire classic that I have not only come to appreciate so much more by way of your direct and pure rendering here....but feel encouraged to try it myself on the old Deering five stringer.

You are encouraging Old Stewball to play songs that he would never of otherwise thought of trying. Thanks for the encouragement!

    Peace,

    Stewball

  • Great song. Another 5-star performance.
