Anti-Semitic Protester at Occupy Wall Street - LA

Here's one of the protesters Reason.tv spoke to at Occupy Wall Street in Los Angeles on October 12, 2011. She identifies herself as Patricia McAllister and as an employee of Los Angeles Unified School District.

"I think that the Zionist Jews, who are running these big banks and our Federal Reserve, which is not run by the federal government... they need to be run out of this country," she said.

@JIDFWarrior I can`t help but feel if Israel was created in Europe, it would be such a better place to live today. A couple generations on both sides would be gone by now, and there would be peace. There probably could`ve been peace after 1 generation. Maybe I`m just naive, but Israel and Germany could be collectively a super power today. German engineering + Jewish business acumen...thats an unstoppable force. Plus Israel is in the middle of where historically the most anti-semitism has occured

@JIDFWarrior I`m sorry, I lied. I just really like the conversation we`re having. My main problem with Israel is the location of Israel. I believe Israel should definitely exist, but the location of Israel makes no sense to me. If I were president just after the war, I would`ve made Israel anywhere the Jewish people wanted in countries that supported Hitler. I would`ve given the Jewish people like half of Germany or Italy or both. There could be a main Israel, with satellite states all over.

@JIDFWarrior We try, but there are a lot of bigots out there who give anti-semitic things a thumbs up which cancel out my thumbs down. And most people don`t even bother trying to talk sense into those kind of people. I think MOST people`s problems with Israel is how they treat Palestine. What are your thoughts on how Israel treats Palestine?

@ProductionMarx I've seen the video before. Israel errs like all other nations: it is normal. What anti-Zionists find so obscene is that Israel is neither martyr nor saint. Their outrage refuses legitimacy to a people's national liberation movement. Israel's stubborn refusal to comply with the invitation to commit national suicide draws condemnation. Jews now have the right to self-determination, and that is what the anti-semite dislikes so much.

@JIDFWarrior I really do feel bad for the world`s view of the average Jewish person as a poison snake, etc. Its like how a few ignorant black people make all black people look bad. @JIDFWarrior What I and many others call Zionism, should now be referred to as Globalism. Over time, words change and have new meanings. But with that being said, I believe I have about as neutral a view possible on Israel and Palestine. I am an agnostic from Canada (formerly Catholic), and this whole thing doesn`t really affect my life. I am arguing from a side of logic, or so I believe. There are two sides to every coin.
