There is no way to secure a heavy object to siding with out bolting it.Not using the bracket would mean crushed and warped siding and the object you are fastening would not have a flat secure base plate.

How can they say this doesn't damage siding? It looks like you still drill directly into the siding, creating holes. I would call that damage.
