Stop the South Salem Hills Gravel Quarry/Pit

Anyone who lives in, provides services to, or travels through the South Salem Hills in Oregon, should be very concerned that allowing the proposed White Cloud Quarry will have severe adverse impacts on the natural resources, farm and forest activities, public facilities and services and rural quality of life in this area. The proposed quarry which will include blasting, ripping, stockpiling and processing of rock will effectively strip mine significant portions of a 724 acre area that includes landslide hazards and sensitive headwaters, streams and groundwater resources. The proposed quarry will generate heavy truck traffic-traffic which will use narrow, steep and winding local roads neither built nor intended for such traffic. The quarry will also generate noise and vibration that will permanently alter the quality of life of the residents of the area.

This video is excellent. Can it be edited/ updated to show the latest proposal? We need people to know that this issue affects even people outside the area; moreover, what is decided here may set a legal precedent which may affect future land use planning decisions throughout the state of Oregon.
