they didnt in 2007 - all the "lost" HDD's at their service centre prompted them to advise people to remove the HDD - but only later...too lat for a lot of people - try reading some of the earlier comments.

You do realise that microsoft tell you to remove everything from your xbox before you send it to them?

That includes hard drives, memory cards, custom faceplates & any games that may be inside the console.

Sorry but i don't see how thats incompetence on the part of microsoft when you send them something they told you not to send in the first place, and then it goes missing.

I think I have a similiar problem, Im not even sure if my xbox has even been sent yet by UPS (still says billing information recieved on UPS.com and no repair status on xbox.com) Have any suggestions?

Buy a PS3 and you will never have a single problem. Xbox is trash i got the E74 and they were charging me $120 to fix it fuck da i manage to fix it and flash the console myself. Microsoft is trash just like Xbox 360 is.

ive had to replace mine 6 times this year and 4 times last year xbox is pissing me off ps3 sounds like it would run better and hopefully have some customer service representatives that speak a language i can understand.

I feel you on all the non sense. Microsoft has become a very bad corporation. They can't even stay ont op of their online product. They charge us to go on Xbox live and you encounter more cheaters than Ps3 network and ps3 network is free. Buy a PS3 it's a way better product than Xbox 360. Do the researche yourself and you will see for yourself.
