@blitzwingable It was not started with freeing of slave by a Roman emperor. It always has and always will be part of Pagan holidays, it falls in line with Yule, the birth of Isis son, and Winter Solstice (Saturnalia, honoring Saturn I think). Take a look at the decorations used and even the tree you bring in side much of it's Pagan.

@ThereAreNoSpoonz nooooo it started as roman holiday that freed the slaves for a day made by Constantine (Ironically the first christian roman emperor) but then we christians thought: "Hey showing kindness and compassion for your fellow man are things Jesus taught we should do something to commemorate that" So Christmas is a christian holiday the idea wss just BASED on a Roman holiday.

i am all for respecting other cultures but come on, people want us to say happy holidays instead of merry Christmas because they don't celebrate Christmas, however we have to ADHERE TO THEIR HOLIDAYS GOD FORBID WE UPSET THEM. (i apologize for some reason my caps lock will not go off)
