Air bags and seat belts are emergency life saving systems.

Why were such systems required while Donia was responsible for some thousand pounds of metal in motion? Regardless of court, buffoonery! Personal Responsibility vs Bad Luck vs Product Liability. Is it always the later?

OK people, this girl KILLED tow people in this accident. She was texting while driving on dropped her phone. When she reached down to pick it up she drifted over into the oncoming lane and hit a couple head on, killing them instantly. The reason her seat belt cut off her arm was because she was BENDING OVER TO PICK UP HER PHONE. "Is that fair? Is that how it should be?" How about the people she killed? Where is HER liability? Jeezuz I am so angry I could spit!

@moi621 i heard about this story in school.

donia crossed the center lane and colided with 2 older people killing them both. i myself didn't want to drive at 16. this is the exact shit why i never wanted to drive at 16. i waited till i was 17. i just simply believe when you loose something, god is just punishing you. and don't say hey, well what did you loose? i lost my hearing 15 years after having and living a normal life. i would know. god is just evening things out. thats it.

So did the estate of the two folks who died in the accident bring a wrongful death suit? If so, how was it adjudicated? Or is it still pending settlement?

Sad ...but life is not always the way we want it to be. Donia' I am so sorry for you but as we live we have learned that big business banks & government officials are the only ones that get payed off.

Like, even though your left arm is hosed, you're still beautiful. To restore a semblance of body integrity (and to mitigate any perception of stigma), obtain & wear the most high-tech cosmetically-correct prosthesis available. You go, girl!

@azulenavarre Heyy how about you do a some more RELIABLE research on a case before you just jump to conclusions. I am Donia's brother and i was there the night of the accident. For the record they still don't know the cause of the accident but they know for sure that neither one of the drivers were even using their phones prior to the accident let alone during by looking at cell phone bills. So how about you just go comment on something you actually know more about if that is even possible.

@rallygsc It was not the cause of the accident. It has already been proven that she was not on the phone during or previous to the accident.

@rallygsc It was proven that it was not her fault and it was just faulty manufactuing and you know what i would like to see you go through a day to day basis with only your right arm. How about you think about the technicalities before you say something next time.
