It was either crash or get fired. I'm not saying that Piquet is innocent, he should have opposed this idea right from the start and avoid posing such a safety hazard to himself and other drivers, but I think the blame should be far more toward Symonds and Briatore than Mr. Piquet. The FIA penalty is sufficient.

@BlueFox284 i understand that u wrote this comment 9 months ago, but i disagree. This is formula 1, you only get one shot at it if you do at all. He was told to crash his car or get out. Id do that 2 if i was lucky enough to drive in F1

n addition to banning Renault, the WMSC handed out hefty individual
penalties to Briatore and Symonds. Neither will be allowed any
involvement in FIA-sanctioned motorsport, Briatore indefinitely and
Symonds for the next five years. Piquet, who was dropp...ed by Renault in
July, was granted immunity from sanction for volunteering his evidence
in the investigation. FLAVIO OUT....

Ferrari should have been more secure with there documents. If there is a tech leak of coarse other teams will seek it. They almost have a right to.
But Renault makes me sick 4 the sport. Ban every person in the team.

I think its safe to say Piquet's career in F1 is officially over. . .doubtful anyone in any other catagory of motorsport would hire him. He's damaged goods now. He'd be *DAMN* lucky to get a drive in his native Brazil.
I can't believe the FIA let him walk though. . .that's bullshit. He's just as guilty as Flavio.
