The Hung Gar form - Sup Yin Kuen (tiger, leopard, snake, dragon and crane).1984
At that time, this form was only talked about but very few Americans knew it. Now you can get it on DVD. How times have changed.

  • Sifu Albright can you enlighten me on some the differences between the hand techniques of hung gar and 7 star mantis. I have always wondered about the differences of how they used hands in the northern and southern styles.

  • @SoundwaveSuperior373 Northern style have better long range tactics. Southern style have better short range tactics. The stratagy of the north and sout style are still similar though. However northern styles tand to be more speedy and southern style tend to use more strength which slows it down a bit. Animals like the Crane, Leopard and Snake are used to speed up Hung Gar tactics.

  • Awesome Sup Ying Kuen.. who taught this form to Sifu Albright?

  • This is from Lay Tsaw Yin lineage .(Gwong Dong Lee) Although not really all that different from others I have seen.

  • I see, it is really rare to see the whole form on Youtube displayed for the world to see. The older generation of Chinese Sifus still very against this type of thing. BTW, I send my greetings from Hung Gar Singapore.

  • I am the older generation 45 years plus in this art. I make my own rules. Too much importance given to the forms secrecy. When in reality it doesn't matter that you learn a form but what you can do with it .

  • This seems so much more different than the one taught to me by my sifu. My lineage comes from Wong Fei Hung, Tang Fung, Yuen Ling, Yee Chi Wai, and Kwong Wai Lum. I notice how your 3 tiger claws in horse stance are more passive than ours and I never jumped during my form haha. It's always interesting to see how other schools are taught.

  • Good Stuff

  • hao chuanfan!

  • Impressive..I'm a freind and onetime student of Sifu Rommie Revel.

  • amazing work times have changed but i agree why keep secrets even though you might be able to buy this on dvd to be able to do this form especially as well as this sifu is doing and also apply it in combat can not be bought. no amount of money can buy that. it must be earned

  • very awesome. music is intense too. what's the song?

  • Awesome!
