  • surprised he didn't mention the tool used to keep the bead down is called a "bead buddy"

  • front tires are so easy, backs arnt to bad either

  • i wish i knew this years ago. puting the tube in the tire then putting the valve stem trough the rim. this whole time i put the tire on half way then fed the tube in. this is truely the best way. im selling my nomar machine and buying a pitposse stand asap.

  • Albo to kurwa mitas ze znaczkiem dunlopa, albo przed założeniem wjebali tą oponke do pieca żeby się rozgrzała.

  • If you look at the shape of the rimlock when it is out of the wheel it is easier to understand how it works. Basically it forces the tire against the rim in the spot it is installed to keep the tire from slipping on the rim.

  • See my post above, sorry it was supposed to be a reply to your comment. Good luck kdx83!

  • That being said, these guys are pros and remember these rims are clean and are getting new tires every moto. Us at home who go weeks, months, and longer between changes have dirty rims and tires that are heat baked and hardened. That and the fact that we don't change tires for a living makes it harder for us. Don't give up, be patient and refine your technique. I take almost an hour now to change a whole tire and this guy does it in 10 minutes. I get faster each time, you will too!

  • I've been changing tires lately and learning from my mistakes. I think the most important thing is wherever you are working with the tire irons, make sure you push down on the sidewall of the tire on the opposite side. Push it towards the center of the rim, that's what they call the dish. Just use your hands to basically push the side in and down. This will make it SOOO much easier to seat the tire on the other side, you'll see! Use small spoon type irons, not large irons or screwdrivers please!

  • what does the rim lock actually do?

  • when you are chanching a tire, you cant lose your temper. it helps if u are calm and do it with time. and make sure your innertire isn´t between the rim and the tireiron. if you force your self to do it a few times, then you master it. i try to do every maintenance job my self, because i dont have enough money to take my bike to the shop all the time, and i like to do stuff wtih motorcycles and their mechanics.
