@crockett616 Pushing (slightly) forward on the stick is the best action when out of control. Usually the "out of control" situation is because of over-controlling the aircraft. ATC was helping him get back into control - apparently it worked.

he actually doenst say 9815L the tower does..........the guy lost it completely

its niner five one lima N915L bad experience for the poor guy...........thats why pilots should have a minimal ifr training while studying to be a private pilot.......

@rockstarr469 Instrument Flight Rules. The term used should have been IMC. Instrument Meteorological Conditions. i.e in cloud or at night.

what is IFR?

Without wanting to take the pilot's defense here, we have absolutely no idea of what weather was like around his aircraft at that time. For all we know it could've been layer clouds or even worse convective clouds, resulting in updrafts, downdrafts, turbulence and etc. Lack of experience & IFR skills = hysterical reaction. Most of the time sunday pilots don't fly alone e.g.kids & wife on board. This said, totally irrational to fly back on the same day. Thumbs up for the FSS!
Great job ATC. However, the pilots reaction was way overboard and he has no business flying until he gets some basic instrument skills.

Howcome ATC is giving him instructions to push forward on the stick and then back if they dont know what exactly is happening and what his planes attitude is? I dont like the guys idea of going back in the air the same day, he might not be performing 100 %, just call it a day and come back another day.
