Those people should not have been there crowding the beach while the chopper was approaching. There is no doubt the pilots are very skilled but a gust of wind could push the helo toward the rocks and then there'd be too many more casualties.

If you happen to witness something similar just move to a safe area ... say about 100 metres. Standing close to the activity is unsafe for you and a distraction to the pilots and rescuers.
