I see your point to an extent, but a lot of the land that is used for say cattle and sheep grazing lands you cant grow crops on whenever it be poor soil conditions or not enough rainfall (such as much of the state of South Dakota). Another point is the manure from livestock is way way better than any commercial fertilizer you can buy to use on crop ground.

I didn't mean that exactly. I guess much land and water is used for animal breeding. If all that land and water was used for growing food for direct human consumption (not the one that pigs like) then potentially there would be more food in quantity (maybe not in quality for everyone). It was just to point out that in our society eating animals is not a matter of survival. I'm glad you raise your animals that way.

Would you eat ground corn? No disrespect to you but just ask yourself that, I raise pigs outside and drug free (how I believe they should be raised) I have a video on my profile if you'd like to check it out.

I think the cereals that a pig consumes can feed much more people than the pig itself, so it's not the kind of decision either we give a miserable life to animals or people will starve. In fact thousand of animals are having a miserable existance and millions of people are starving.

That's not what I mean exactly. What I meant was that the animal should at least be treated respectfully before it dies. -_-

He is kind of right. Though I do not agree with animals getting tortured, animals die in other ways we can't control. Might as well eat them. Plus, would you honestly put a pig and a human on the same level? I would kill a pig in a heartbeat if it would feed a starving child. That's how the world is and always has been. Survival of the fittest. I can understand not torturing animals, but some of these videos and people who support it want to go as far as saying "don't eat meat, it' evil"
