Jadeveon Clowney Picks the South Carolina Gamecocks Over Clemson and Alabama

After a long, suspenseful wait... Number 1 prospect Jadeveon Clowney makes his college choice. Clowney committed to in-state South Carolina over Clemson and Alabama on Monday from his school auditorium at South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, SC. He made the announcement live on ESPN's "SportsCenter."

"I chose them because it's close to home," Clowney said from the podium. "I chose them because I have friends there and my mom can come see me all the time. I can't wait to play with Gerald Dixon [a South Pointe teammate who signed with South Carolina] and with all those boys."

"I have a real good relationship with [defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson]. But an even better one with coach [Lorenzo] Ward," Clowney said. "We got real close."

@poohbear4746 University of South Carolina, established in 1801. Then there is the University of Southern California. They both have the same initials, the end. If you have a problem with that then don't watch videos related to the University of South Carolina because you will see it being referred to as USC.

So don't even try to make the argument you are attempting to make.
