Science Bob and 30 other teachers launched 2,000 ping pong balls in zero gravity as part of Northrup Grumman Foundation's Weightless Flights of Discovery program. Also joining us was Kerry Sanders of the Today Show. Weightless flight is accomplished by flying in parabolas in reserved airspace aboard a modified 727 aircraft. Each weightless experience lasts about 30 seconds.

  • I love the end part with the guy that says, "Oh! Give us a warning!" =)

  • this is how they filmed "apollo 13"... with ping pong balls (Y)

  • "I need some help!"

    LOL

  • Know what would have been better? Eggs. Try eggs next time.

  • Wayne Coyne would be proud.

  • For the crew, who would do that so often the novelty would soon wear off, watching people drop out of the air with absolutely no warning is probably one of the most enjoyable parts of their job. Apart from all the other awesome parts, that is...

  • @teundilles No! That's a confusing term that leads to mistakes, Zero gravity means Zero gravity! The connotation you are giving to it can only be understanded by knowing the fact you are mentioning. So is wrong and it's not inteligent. I wrote my comment to those kids or adults that could read it and get the wrong idea by getting wrong information.

And that my friend, makes you a STUPID! ;)

  • @ALPHADESIGNTAMPICO zero gravity is so often used as a synonym for zero-G, that pointing out that what's actually happening isn't zero gravity, but zero G without explaining why, makes you nothing more than a troll.
