I played the cello part for my orchestra earlier this year...
it was HARD.
But then again, it's worth it--in return I get a part that's more exciting than the violin's!

All you wonderful musicians, my ears are all I rely on. Baroque Classicism, Bach, Corelli, Vivaldi...I'd die to be able to do what you do. As it is, I can't, I only hear the music you play for my pleasure. The least of you is amazing to my ears. xxx

Listening to this exactly when it was meant to be listened to brings a whole new meaning to the concerto!

It pains me to say this is much better than the recording I own by Ensemble 415 (brilliant though they are usually). There is more punch and immediacy to this.

I'm ignorant about how this is Christmas related. Can someone please tell me how it is related to Christmas?

@IssacAndSophie It can also sound that way with added Double Bass!

Which group plays this?

the second part is so beautiful! I used to play it, it has always been my favorite part :)

I love how involved the cello's are, while being the backbone and support you guys have a great line that just screams "violins are not the only exciting part here. LISTEN TO US!"
The second violins part is great too.

@kxcproject It was difficult for the eighth-grade me, though -_-

Is there brass in this? I thought it was a strings concerto?

@IssacAndSophie No. What you might be hearing is the chamber organ playing continuo.

Not sure if it is that exact frequency, but i can confirm you that it is lower than 440, i suppose it is in baroque tuning
