  • A normal human emotion to an extent. When you have sadness 24/7, I believe it is a debilitating affliction, which would also mean it's a mental illness. DOUCHE!

  • @jessicamshannon No! Chemotherapy is a cure or it can be a cure. Antidepressants are NOT a cure.

  • that shouldn't be a doctor!

  • @TheUltraNick thanks! I agree

  • @prpeeps In fact there are diagnostic techniques looking INTO the brain already available. What they show in the depressed brain are clear deviations from the normal patterns in healthy brains. Even the effects of medication and psychotherapy can be made visible. That's the state of the art in brain-research.

  • @brumpbm Sorry to bring you back to this video, but I want to present you with the idea that anti-depressants are tools to help with Depression. To get over depression takes a lot more than one component. Chemotherapy alone won't cure depression

For me it was combination of a good therapist, environmental change, and antidepressants. All of those were short term things and i no longer need any of those things (well im in a different environment still)

  • @dryanwalker i dont think you understand how the drugs are supposed to work....They are supposed to increase the serotonin intake. That should NOT make you wanna kill yourself. Low serotonin = thoughts of suicide. Just right serotonin (which there is no proof of showing there is a just right level) = equals normal mood. So taking the drugs should have no effect to people with no low serotonin levels. but in fact it did the opposite and made people (normal people) wanna murk themselves.

  • @DrBPhD You say that, but if what you say is true then why dont they make it known. These things you speak of should be easy information to access to shut up all these people speaking against all this. But instead more people are finding out about how its all a big hoax with tests supporting. I guess you could say the same for the other side too. where are the tests proving against the hoax.

  • @DrBPhD You're right. There are biological and chemical mechanisms involved in depression which become more and more well-known to medical science. The guy in the video talks utter nonsense.

  • A study put normal people on zoloft and it had a negative affect,..no shit dumbass. Give a bunch of normal people some insulin and watch as they get sick and some die,..thats doesnt mean insulin is bad it means it should only be given to diabetics. This guy is a "doctor" like Dr pepper and Dr dre. I like Dr Dre but i wouldnt let him give me medical advice

  • @DrBPhD That (anhedonia), and all of the DSM-IV criteria for MDD. I had the severe form when my periods came back from decades of absence. The vitamin D (secondary mechanism) was dropping faster than my body could replace it. I then took 300 Lithium to keep up the vitamin D levels. Before Lithium I had to have hours of sunlight daily. Now it's just minutes.

  • @TheUltraNick Correct. Depression has nothing to do with sadness in an every-day sense. It's rather a total loss of the ability to feel pleasure.
