Bob Clampett = Greatest cartoonist of all time.
This cartoon is a great example of how truly amazing the classic Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies were, and I'm surprised this one doesn't get much recognition. It's hilarious! Definately in the top 10 best Daffy Duck cartoons.

He wouldn't be the only one. The irony is that since the date is 1945 he wouldn't be in the war very long as it ends in Europe in April while Japan ends in August. Between training and shipping out to wherever he is going the war will be either almost over or over by the time he gets there.
That such a toon would be made really shows how much humor people had back then about even something like draft-dodging.
