Would human beings suddenly stop killing each other without religion? You have to be kidding.

  • TheAmazingAtheist never said that all violence would be eliminated with the elimination of religion, he said that religion justifies and causes violence, discrimination, and close-mindedness. Most people know that by nature humans are violent, they don't learn it from religion or anything, but with religion people can say "well...God told me to do it" or "God said it was ok" and then they feel that their actions are justified. Without justification there wouldn't be these holy acts of terror.

  • No, what he says is that one insanity is inherently stupider than another, because he says so. The only reason I even recorded this video response is because I listened to this guys ridiculous rant and I got annoyed. A lot of folks have written some pretty good comments about this video; far more interesting that anything said by AA. I actually have not watched AA's video's since '07 - he's a total bludy idiot.

  • How dare you adding "Condoms" as a tag on this vid?

  • Condoms? No idea what you are talking about. And I am not being sarcastic.

  • If you try too hard to shield your kids from something then it is only natural that they would become curious. Ultimately people need to make up their own minds.

  • How would an atheist father feel if, due to his opposition to religious practice, actually pushed one of his kids to join a religious group, simply to spite the father. Such things do happen.

My family discussed a lot of things, we all shared a meal a day together as a family, my parents encouraged my sister and I to think for ourselves. Religion was neither practiced, nor discouraged. I think this attitude is healthy. (cont)

  • One argument I have seen from young atheist families is that they want to raise their children non-religious, but they miss the community aspects of their previous religious lives. What do you think about an "atheist organization" as community, that is, a sort of umbrella under which atheists can hang out, discuss, and generally just have "fellowship" with one another?

  • "It wouldn't work because they need proof for everything."

...What does that have to do with community?

...And why is it bad to want proof for things? I'd much rather make informed decisions than do something just because everyone else thinks it's good.

  • @BreathlessDragon @BreathlessDragon I agree with you. Human nature is about power and resource control, i.e. survival. Southpark had a classic episode called "go God go" where in the future they'd abolished religion but the atheists were at war with each other over what the best name for their group was lol!

The massive surge in Atheist propaganda recently is not about rational thought it's about creating relative morality to justify the global elite's atrocities and break social bonds.

  • its on there.

  • richard dawkins said that without religion, there would be no war, the amazing atheist would most likely disagree with that statement, as well as the statment in your description. but countless wars do stem from religion and religion does oppress people... and to say its background is disturbing is a gross understatment.

  • Excellent video! I've been trying to explain this same exact thing to my atheist friend, and it took awhile. I told him if we didn't have religion, there would still be war and conflict just like we have now.

  • I agree with your commentary on your video, however I do believe the best course of action is to eradicate the Deity based religions or any religions with promises that can not be tangible or come from nowhere and replace them with education. Obviously this is sort of an utopian concept, but I think we are way past the age where we "needed" religion to explain ourselves. Would be great if people started thinking independently in group and talking about it.
