Falling off Dela!! Jumping..

Well, I would like to blame Orla for this.... :L She insisted on me getting jumping videos, and look what happened!!

Silly horsey... Was a pretty dirty stop, but she doesn't have much confidence, I probably pushed her too far!
Dela hasn't been jumped very much, she's 11, but it's like riding a 4y/o. I'm not really used to a horse who backs off from a fence so much!
We had quite a bit of progress before Christmas, then Dela went back to her owner for 6 weeks while I went home, and this was my 2nd time jumping her since she's been back.

As for the striding, she gets anxious and rushes alot, so I was doing grid work to slow her down. There's no point in setting the distances long to compensate for her longer stride, it defeats the purpose of the exercise.

I know I'm not the most incredible rider or the most knowledgeable horse person, but I have a fair idea what I'm doing, and it makes me laugh when people on youtube try and criticize. By all means, laugh at me falling off, but don't try and preach about a situation where you don't know all the info...

Finger's nto actually broken! Stupid doctor in A & E... I'm back riding again :D, only a week later!

Wow...painful...I broke 2 fingers and dislocated my pinkie (lunging, not riding) I had to buddy tape them for 6 weeks.... 1 year ago exactly LOL...

Haha unlucky that was a dirty stop cheeky horse ;) my horse did that she was heading for the jumpwe were a bit away from it so i was just about to put my leg on to encourage her but just before i did she throw me out the side door ;)
