  • The responses of most interviewees indicate the same kind of ignorance I see when I ask people if they have heard of peak oil. Peak oil is the biggest event in the history of industrial civilization, and most people have absolutely no clue. But at least we can watch cool YouTube videos about it now. That's better than 10 years ago.

  • its funny how all those ppl are just living their stupid little lives unaware of the big picture thats unfolding before us.

  • Great stuff, yup whenever I mention peak oil, people stare at me blankly.

Btw. HOT guy in the green! Smart and skilled!!

  • Sorry tried to post a long comment? so the below is a bit mucked up (

I am hoping to make a vid of people in Wellington New Zealand answering the same questions .. I think our lot will be equally as ignorant ..... that is why we say things will be bad

  • Most people have almost no idea how the money system works, that their food supply is critically dependent on oil, or that a massive financial crash is imminent.

    Kevin

  • 17% of men were able to correctly define Peak Oil versus only 6% of women 33% of women were able to correctly define Permaculture versus only 23% of men 94% of men were able to correctly define abrupt climate change versus 80% of women Having been given definitions: 82% of men say Peak oil is having an effect on their lives now versus 33% of women
  • Friend Kevin asked a few questions on the street of New Plymouth New Zealand

    First survey results

17 adult men (71%) were prepared to answer survey questions

    versus

    only 15 women (58%)

The others said they had 'no time' to answer questions about their futures, or did not want to think about it.

Not one person of 32 surveyed had any idea what Fractional Reserve Banking means. After being told what it means, one person commented: "I hope they don't introduce that system here."

  • The level of ignorance, Oh my the Humanity!

We are due for a big BEAT-Down... ignorance is the greatest sin!

The wrath of Persiphone is upon us! (daughter of Hades, Queen of the Underworld, all things metal and mineral)...ok, just a little greek drama!

  • sorry, just trying to give a boost to smart gay folks.

  • possible gay man? i bet that's kris' boyfriend... he's the second guy interviewed in the clip "fun with peak oil", isnt he? i agree with your comment though. funny this guy asking "is that p-e-a-k"? NO, "peek oil" if you like :-)

  • great! kris you rock!

  • figures, only the two Europeans and the possible gay man are paying attention. This looks like its New York and it saddens me that all those bright young cosmopolitan people are so clueless. Well all we have to do is wait for mean old bush to leave peacefully and we can go back to consuming without limits, right?
