8th May 2009: After the rear of the train to Grosmont moves out of shot, and the signalman hands over the token, The Peppercorn A1 Pacific 60163 Tornado departs Goathland with the 15:50 to Pickering. There is someone waving from the footplate not in overalls, perhaps someone bought a foorplate ride for £200? The Gresley Teaks look nice in the sun.

  • I hear Tornado here with a A1 Whistle here, I thought it had a A4 chime.

  • @WaerzMedia09: Tornado has both A1 and A4 whistles.

  • Great video! just wish it was a Whitby-York Service via Rillington

  • @cleckheatoncentral: We can but hope :)

  • This was after Tornado was fixed. I belive she broke down on the first Saturday of the Gala, with a failed fusible plug, was not running Sunday but was running again Monday, this clip is from the following Friday.
