  • @suddenlyitsobvious He was playing as much Djokovic have let him play.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious Im not sure about your statement about nadal not"trying ANYTHING"

Nadal has tried many different approaches in fact.

At indian wells,he tried to blast him off with the serve

At miami,he tried to outlast him

At madrid he tried to break down his backhand

At rome,he first tried to attack the forehand, then he proceeded to give a few semi-moonballs, which prevents djokovic from getting into a rhythm

Wimbledon and us open,he was trying to be too aggresive, lots of mistakes.

  • @ksibor Agree and i am alway Roger fan too but you need to concept the new generation too.

  • Why is there a weird sound after every point?

  • the Host broadcaster in both US and Oz Opens uses different graphics to the world feed.

  • semi final was much better and intense, that even not looking like a final lol. a bit more of a 1st round match lolol . Congratulations Djokovic, deserved!

  • All these comments have valid points but the bottom line is that this year Djokovic showed that when he is in shape and able to stay with Rafa from start to finish he can beat him on any surface. Djokovic could always beat Rafa; going in to this year his H2H was better on hard courts where he didn't have to play longer rallies; now that he has the stamina to stay w/ Rafa on the slower stuff his confidence is sky high and he now knows Rafa is very beatable on all surfaces.

  • NOVAK IS JUST A TEMPORARY SUCCESS (MORE SHOWMAN I WOULD SAY...). BUT ROGER FEDERER WAS, IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE GREATEST EVER TENNIS PLAYER. AHEAD OF SABRAS , CONORS ETC...HE'S THE PELE OF TENNIS !

    FEDERER FOREVER !!

  • i cannot believe that serve at 2.50 just 60mph! that has got be the slowest male serve ive ever seen, rafa was shattered here after that incredible 3rd set. I can serve faster than that!

  • @TennisCoachno1 i dont know,I always beat aggressive baseliners by doing a short slice, tempting them to go crosscourt. From there, ill just lob it cross court or a well angled one.

The lob is the best in my opinion as your opponent is moving away from the shot, the general idea of"following the ball to the net" causes this problem.

That aside,Djokovic's net game is better now.The wimbledon final was a perfect example. He read rafa like a book.Never seen rafa unable to pass someone so many times.

  • @TennisCoachno1 yea, those mindless, kamikaze cross court net rush is gone now,

The only time djokovic approaches cross court now is when he is expecting rafa to slice the ball, rafa's floating, weak slice is fodder for anyone, now,in that wimbledon final,he is approaching at the right time, meaning when rafa is out of position, far back behind the baseline, DTL and down the middle approaches.

Djokovic seems to have become more intelligent too.

  • @KaminariKatta He was too rash + impulsive instead of orchestrating the point better and ironically now he can afford to stay on the baseline and pummel rafa at his own slug fest and only realllllllly needs to go the net to finish off a point instead of mindlessly charging into the net when there are better options available.
