Magnificent. "are you my girl?", and her emphatic "Yess!", finally grasping happiness. This is her role far more than honeybunny in Pulp Fiction.
And Mercedes...man, both women were mag-ni-fi-cent in this movie. Superb.

In my youth, this movie was my battle cry that Romance was real, that such beliefs were not fantasy.
Now, ....now I see it as a love letter to certain ideal and to the belief in forgiveness and change.
I still love this movie, so thank you to the entire ensemble for making it real.

I see what you mean.
I like this about movies... You kind of grow together with them. Every time you see them with different eyes so they're sort of a mirror into yourself, you know?
