VIDEO 10 - SHAKEDOWN AND TESTING - The moment has finally come for Juke-R to hit the track! With the build complete, engineers take Juke-R to MIRA proving ground to check all systems work correctly before heading to Silverstone to push the car's limits. It looks like a Juke but sounds like a GT-R, and performs like one on its first circuit tests.

The build video series is now complete, but there is still much more to come from Juke-R - watch this space!

  • Just my opinion though...But it could really screw Nissan's other sports model line up. I mean. If you could get the same performance of a GT-R from a Juke, for half the price or even less, WHY would anyone want the GT-R??? Same engine, same tuning capabilities, so why spend the extra dough??? They'd better rethink this one...

  • In my opinion, the styling and suspension and handling should stay. The engine, though the concept is just really cool, should go and be replaced with a turbocharged 4 with about 260-270 horsepower, which should also be used in Nissan's upcoming Sentra SER Spec V model. Also Nissan should drop SER...and just call them "R". Or Nissan's "R" line of vehicles since the Juke R bears the singlular "R" badge. Also include a 6spd manual option.

  • Second hick-up is well the fact that is has the 3.8L V-6 used in the GT-R...This vehicle, if priced competitively could spell disaster for the GT-R. Which would be a major mistake on Nissan's marketing. Another thing I noticed is that there is no manual gearbox version...Juke R could also ruin the need or desire for Nissan's other sport models such as the next 370Z and the next Sentra SER and SER Spec V models.

  • This is a pretty cool idea by Nissan. However there are some hick-ups. First I think the looks of the car are way cool. I like the fact that is is very different. Love the aggressive styling, large diameter wheels and brakes, and the fact that it has the GT-R engine up front with over 400 horsepower. BUT as I said, this vehicle has lots of hick-ups. The first hick-up is the fact that 400 horsepower could be achieved with a turbocharged in-line 4 rather than a 3.8L twin turbo V-6.

  • @sigsaursamurai nissan ain't exactly ferrari either.
