Competitive Enterprise Institute Labor Policy Counsel Vincent Vernuccio explains how unions take money from their members in the form of dues, and often spend more on politics and administration than representation.

We had a free market before 2008, Monica?? Where the hell have YOU been? We haven't had a free market in DECADES! Hell, the only free market America ever had was from 1789 til about the 1870s or 1880s when big railroads start lobbying to decrease competition and pass things like the Interstate Commerce Act. We only had about a century or so, if even that, of a "free market."
And plus, the first American corporations were allowed contracted to do STATE functions, not private business.

Haven't unions gone all the way to federal court at least once or twice for using union dues for political campaigns?? Would they REALLY be dumb enough to risk it again?
And don't national unions have their own SEPARATE PACs for raising campaign funds? Pretty sure they do.

While it is possible that they're using union dues for politics, where's the PROOF thta they're still doing this on a large scale?? Until that proof is available, that's just CEI blowing smoke to once again go after unions. Now, I'm not gonna say unions are perfect, but the amount of anti-union rhetoric from CEI makes me think CEI doesn't JUST wanna focus on union abuses but just HATES unions in general. Correct me if I'm wrong. Making spurious claims with little evidence like this?
