Half Broken Things was one of the highlights of ITV's autumn drama schedule. This critically acclaimed one-off drama was directed by Tim Fywell and adapted by Alan Whiting from the award-winning thriller by Morag Joss.
Penelope Wilton (Five Days, Doctor Who, Falling) stars in a story of loss, hope and ultimately, needing to belong. Half Broken Things is a tense,
disturbing drama in which the lines between good and evil become blurred in the pursuit of happiness.
Facing imminent forced retirement, Jean (Wilton), a house-sitter on her final job in a beautiful country house, begins to live in the place as though she owns it. When fate brings two strangers to the house -- Michael
(Daniel Mays), a petty thief, and Steph (Sinead Matthews), a pregnant girl on the run from her abusive boyfriend -- Jean discovers the family she has always wanted.
But as the past starts to catch up with them, and as their idyllic fantasy of family life begins to crumble, they must decide how far they are willing to go to protect the perfect life.

This was amazing! I watched it when it first aired and was creeped out by the ending! This was vert fantastic! I forget about it for years then it took me a while to find out what it was called. So glad I have found it, I shall buy it on DVD!

I want to see this so bad! I love the book it was totally enticing and wonderful and it just made me so happy! The ending was great too =D

realmente me quede algo perturbado despues de ver esta peli y no es por q no me haya acostumbrado a este tipo de peli sino que es tan genial como trabajan con la psicologia del personaje, el unico problema es como conseguirla peliculas asi no se consiguen asi nomas y seria ilegal descargarlo ilegalmente asi q me rindo, pero jamas se me van a quitar las gana de ver esta peli, he visto muchos filmes psicologicos o peores q este pero esta peli creo q es perfecta.
