  • I think my issue with all of it is this is I don't care if it's a man, woman, child, etc. If I saw something with a dead human in the trunk I would think it was wrong. I'm not going to blame this on men, on society, otherwise. This boils down to advertisting companies. Before anyone bullshits to me about how it's crap. It's not. More often females are seen portrayed in situations like this. Not to say men aren't (look at those axe commercial bullshit). Either way, the media sucks. Period.

  • if anyone did that to someone i know i would beat the shit out of them.

well, I mean you could do that I mean if you've already made the plans and everything I won't stop you. I was jsut wondering where all the other people who don't look at those ads or buy the products they are selling fit into that narrative you've drummed up?

  • okay... so tell me... what the hell are these adds selling, seriously? I have never scene any of these before are these in magazines? which magazines are carrying these?

  • @slamgirl65

3-1When it comes to sexism in advertising I will agree there is some. But I will also point out that there is just as much, if not more, sexism and violence in ads against men. But ads were not part of my topic in my posts. The topic was wage gap. Which oddly has very little to do with this video but was a reply to another person’s post on wage gap.

  • 2-4Now does that mean sex discrimination doesn’t exist? No… it does. But it is the rarity not the rule. My posts are talking about the everyday common business practice so let’s not try confusing them with the very uncommon cases.

2-3Before that Bob worked 3 years for Big National as a teller while Mary worked 5 years as a cashier for a cash loan company. Neither of them has taken leave or a vacation for 4 years. They both are married with kids. You will likely find Bob makes around $46k to $48K annually where Mary may make $45k to $49k. Not the big “wage gap” drama you’d think it to be. This is common.

  • @slamgirl65

2-2When industry, along with other factors are well controlled women earn equal or slightly better pay. Example: A male bank manager (Bob) and a female bank manager (Mary) both work for Big National Bank in the same state and regain (with the same management heads). Let’s say they are in Georgia. Both have MBA’s, work an average of 44 hrs a week and have slightly above average performance evaluation scores. Bob has been a manager for 4 years and Mary 5.

2-1As for industry, I stated before ‘[In studies] where women receive the lower pay…’ ‘They usually do not control many factors that play into wage differences and usually compare very DIFFERENT CAREERS AND DIFFRENT LEVELS OF EDUCATION in lumps sums or worse. This makes most of these studies useless.’ So I think I covered that already.

  • @slamgirl65

I’d say about 90% of the studies are controlled for location. Even the poorly controled ones. Most researchers can’t afford to do nationwide studies. But that’s an educated guess as I did not count all of them. I can factually say a large majority do control that factor however.

  • WHAT THE FUCK, WORLD? the world just hates women. women hate women, men hate women and only want their vaginas. it's no good. fuck it all im gonna go bury myself alive.
